Cornstarch is a white powdery material made by pulverizing the endosperm potion of corn. It is widely used in cooking and in the production of dextrin, corn syrup and corn sugar. In cosmetics cornstarch is used as an abrasive, absorbent and to increase the viscosity in aqueous products. Cornstarch is also included in some cosmetics to decrease the greasy feel.
