Cedarwood Texas Juniperus ashei is a pyramid-shaped majestic evergreen tree, up to 130 ft. high. The wood itself is hard and strongly aromatic because of the high percentage of essential oil it contains, which is where the resinoid, absolute, and essential oil is obtained by steam distillation. Has been used for acne, dandruff, dermatitis, eczema, fungal infections, greasy skin, hair loss, skin eruptions, ulcers, arthritis, rheumatism, bronchitis, catarrh, congestion, coughs, cystitis, nervous tension and stress-related conditions.

Reported Properties of Cedarwood Texas Oil include: Abortifacient, aphrodisiac, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, fungicidal, insecticide, sedative(nervous), stimulant(circulatory), tonic.
